- Gloria Anne Doucette Stephens, 79, died May 1, 2017, at her residence. She was born September 23, 1937, in Old Town a daughter of Leo and Doris Doucette.
Gloria was extremely proud of her children and grandchildren. She was extremely happy when her five sons got together to play music and she could laugh and dance. She enjoyed being outdoors, visiting the coast and hiking. Gloria was a hard working woman and she instilled in her sons a good work ethic. She enjoyed good food, especially her potatoes.
She is survived by five sons: Franklin Doucette Jr. and his wife Verle of Old Town, Stephen A. Doucette of Orono, Richard A. Doucette and his wife Julie Ann of Argyle, Michael F. Doucette and his soulmate Sharman Dow of Old Town, Douglas W. Doucette Sr. and his soulmate Joy Monroe of Eddington; 13 grandchildren Jeremy, Eric, Jessica, Stephen, Tina, Anthony, Cory, Nathan, Matthew, Benjamin, Douglas Jr., Ashley, Makayla, several great-grandchildren; sisters Constance Ogden, Charlene Jackson and her husband Al, Rose Cote; brothers Edward Doucette and his wife Patty, and Cyril Doucette and his wife Janet; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husbands Franklin P. Doucette Sr. and Leonard Stephens.
A celebration of life will be conducted 3 p.m., Friday, May 5, 2017, at the Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town.
