Gloria's Story

ARGYLE - Gloria Mae Hanson, 77, died June 21, 2015 at a Bangor hospital with family by her side. She was born January 12, 1938 in Old Town a daughter of Clarence J. Sr and Alma B. (Dick) St. Louis.

Gloria will be remembered as a classy, yet feisty and stubborn, spitfire of a woman. She loved shopping, and wearing high heels and boots. She enjoyed her cats, camping, dancing and going to the Singles club with her boyfriend Bud Davis. Gloria would do anything for anyone and loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren dearly.

She is survived two daughters Judith Desjardins and her husband Ernest; Linda Richards and her husband Mark, three sisters Thelma Howe of Old Town, Betty Roy and her husband Paul of Argyle, and Irene Burton and her husband Shirley of Milford; a brother Clarence St. Louis Jr and his wife Marielle of Orono; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Virgil Hanson in 2002, her special companion Howard "Bud" Davis in 2015, son William Hanson.

A graveside service will be conducted 1PM Thursday at Lawndale Cemetery, Old Town. Memorial contributions may be made to the Old Town Animal Orphanage P.O. Box 565 Orono, ME 04473
