- Glenice Mary (Fish) French, 89, wife of the late Donald Charles French Sr., passed away peacefully Sunday, November 13, 2016, at her home. She was born September 21, 1927, in Hermon, the daughter of the late Arthur F. Fish Sr. and Mary I. (Murphy) Fish.
She loved spending time, especially the holidays, with her family and dining out with them, including her luncheons with "The Winterport Girls."
She also enjoyed looking out over her flower gardens and, from her sun porch, watching the birds that came to her many feeders, particularly a pair of mallard ducks.
Glenice is survived by her five children, Donna Stevenson of Bangor, Donald C. French, Jr. and his wife, Diane "Dee-Dee," of Bangor, Darlene French and her partner, Roderick "Rocky" Rockwell, of Eddington, Deanna Bean and her husband, Rodney, of Bangor and Darrell French and his wife, Lydia, of Newburgh; six grandchildren, Sewell B. Stevenson II and his partner, Paula Allard, Shaun L. Stevenson, Donald C. French III, Mikki Rooney and her partner, Daniel Berry, Derek Drew and Darrell French II; and two great-grandchildren, Kaylie French and her partner, Chad Erickson, and Kristin Stevenson. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her seven brothers, Arthur Jr., Victor, Richard, Alston, Jay Aubrey "Junior," Donald and Ormond Fish; and one sister, Martha V. Wells. Glenice also had a special friend, Chin Wilson, along with husband, Don, in Texas that lovingly kept in touch with her for many years.
At her request, there will be no public calling hours.
