Franklin's Story

ALTON AND WYTOPITLOCK - Franklin Ellsworth McCormack, 87, husband of the late Joyce Ann (Carr) McCormack, passed away April 13, 2015 at a Bangor healthcare facility. He was born May 28, 1927 in Reed Plantation, the son of Nelson and Sylvia (Brawn) McCormack. Franklin was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was employed as a papermaker at Great Northern Paper Company for several years. He served as a volunteer firefighter with the Reed Plantation Fire Department, and was an avid outdoorsman enjoying four wheeling, snowsledding, hunting and fishing. Franklin was a very good man and will be missed by all. He is survived by four children , Peter and Brenda McCormack and their son Sean and family, Bethany and Robert Davis and their sons Justin Neal and Adam Michaud, Daniel McCormack and his son Avery, and Amy McCormack and her partner Cynthia Ingalls; several nieces and nephews.
