Milo - Milo- Fay Almon Stevens, born October 3, 1931, passed away peacefully at his home on Schoodic Lake June 5, 2017. His loving family was by his side at the time of his passing. His family was his life and he cherished the time spent with them. His wife of sixty years, Judith, and life long friend, Jay, will welcome him to his new destination. Fay is survived by his children, Hope, Kim, Kent and Chuck and their spouses, Chuck, Debbie, Ruth and Joi. He was blessed with eleven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren and special dear friends, Esther and Les.
Fay was active in many community organizations that included the Milo Fire Department, the American Legion and was a Past Master of the Milo Chapter of the Masons.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed hunting at Camp Twister and fishing at Holeb.
He will be fondly and lovingly remembered as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. His kind and gentle demeanor was an inspiration to all that knew him. His faith was strong and he was a follower of Jesus throughout his life.
A service of remembrance will be conducted on June 14th at 1 p.m. at the Milo Baptist Church in Milo, Maine. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, a donation to either the Milo Baptist Church or CHCS Home Health and Hospice Services in memory of Fay A. Stevens.
