BANGOR - Evelyn T. Bradman, 80, passed away at a local hospital on October 4, 2015. Evelyn kept her sense of humor and sassiness until the end when she told her doctor, "I got 80 years and that's pretty good, don't you think?" She was born July 12, 1935 in Bangor, Maine, the daughter of Felix and Eldora (Violette) Cote.

Evelyn was a member of the Old Town American Legion Post 75 for 30 years. One of the original Troop Greeters, she greeted homecoming and outgoing soldiers for Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom. She enjoyed cooking, reading, crafting, and playing the slots. She was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. Evelyn said when she got to heaven she would continue her Red Sox vs. Yankees feud with her brothers Dickie and Frank.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Ronald Bradman; her daughters Donna (Burgess) Sorkin and husband Bob of Glenburn, Karen (Burgess) Cullen and husband Tom of Bangor, Sharon (Burgess) Findlay of Cumberland, RI, and son Anthony Burgess of Orono; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Velma Girourd; two brothers, Freeman Cote and Rudolph Cote. Evelyn is predeceased by her parents; two sons, David Burgess and Ralph Bradman; six brothers, Woodrow, Leon, Franklin, Richard, Robert, Felix; and two sisters, Vivian and Juanita. Evelyn touched many lives and leaves behind a large extended family including several nieces, nephews, friends, and her mother-in-law, Lillis Taylor her favorite slot partner in crime.
