- Erik R. Lindberg, 37, died unexpectedly February 24, 2017, at home. He was born February 6, 1980, in Norwich, CT, the son of Russell Lindberg and Nina Barnett (Lindberg).
Erik graduated from Old Town High School, class of 1999. After high school, Erik worked for several years before joining the US Army. He served in the Army from 2005-2009 and did a 16-month tour in Afghanistan. Erik received the rank of Sargent EO5 before his discharge. Erik was employed by Keith Trembley Builders and enjoyed camping, fishing, and spending time with his girls.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents Arne and Ethel Lindberg, and his maternal grandfather Arthur Dubay. He is survived by mother Nina and stepfather Howie Barnett, father Russell and and stepmother Patty, maternal grandmother Dorothy Dubay, two children Brooklyn and Brianna, sister Nicole and her partner Burke and two children Liam and Seren, brother Jason Parker and son Kaiden, special aunt Debra Marquis, special uncle Bruce Lindberg, mother of his children Carey Nason, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, his military family, and many, many friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2017, from 2 p.m., to 6 p.m. at the Brewer Eagles Club (upstairs hall), 22 Atlantic Ave., Brewer.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Erik's name to Bangor Federal Credit Union, P.O. Box 1161, Bangor, ME 04402-1161, as a trust fund for his children.
