Edmundston, NB - Mr. Emile Corbin, 94, formerly of Van Buren, passed away at an Edmundston, NB, nursing home on December 23, 2016. He was the widower of Annette Ouellette.
Mr. Corbin was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 52. He was also a member of the American Legion, Post 49. Most of his working life was devoted to barbering at Loring Air Force Base.
He is survived by two children, Gisele (Guy) Theriault of Bangor and Maurice (Nancy) Corbin of Van Buren, grandchildren, Gregory (Qian) Theriault and Julie Theriault of Bangor, great grandson, Danny Theriault of San Antonio, TX, one brother, Leonide Corbin of Montreal, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two children, Roger and Marie Theraise Corbin, three brothers, Paul, Alphe and Donat, and sisters, Maggie Caron, Yvonne Cyr and Phena Caron.
Resting at O'Regan's Chapel, 83 St-Antoine Street, Saint-Leonard, with visiting on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30 to 11 a.m.
His funeral service will be held Thursday, December 29th, 2016, at 11 a.m. from the Saint-Leonard Roman Catholic Church with interment in the parish cemetery. www.oregans.ca
