Emery's Story

OTIS - Emery Alfred Salisbury, a longtime resident of Hancock County, passed away at the age of 78 on Tuesday, November 17, 2015, in Otis.

Emery was born and raised in Otis, ME, and joined the Air Force after his High School graduation. Upon leaving the Air Force, Emery settled in Massachusetts where he worked at Bay State Ice Cream and met his wife of 54 years, Suzanne Frigon Salisbury. Emery had four children and founded Em-Rick Concrete Forms. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and avid boater. He put many miles on his Harley enjoying the countryside. His most favorite times were spent on Beech Hill Pond skippering his pontoon boat, with his children, grandchildren and his many friends.

Emery is survived by his wife - Suzanne (Frigon) Salisbury, children, Sheryl Orcutt and Patrick Ryan of Rochester, MA, grandchild - Ricky Orcutt, Scott and Kim Salisbury of East Bridgewater, MA, grandchildren - Allison - Brett - Tyler Salisbury, Steven and Karen Salisbury of East Bridgewater, MA, grandchild - Leigh Salisbury, great-grandchild - Maliyah Venning, Shawn and Lynne Salisbury of East Bridgewater, MA, grandchildren - Jayleen Spencer and Sheldon Jordan - Sierra - Emery - Jake - Kyle Salisbury, great-grandchildren - Bradlee - Bentlee Jordan, siblings, Lawrence Salisbury (wife)Vivian of Otis, ME, Leverett Salisbury (wife) Alice of Ellsworth, ME, Corice Amazeen (husband) Everett of Garland, ME, Arleeta Campbell (husband) Courtney of Hancock, ME, Vera Judware of Otis, ME, and Alice Herrick (husband) Eddie of Otis, ME.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Ryan Emery Orcutt.

A memorial service is scheduled at 2:00 PM, Sunday, November 22, 2015, at the Ellsworth chapel of Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Homes. A visiting hour will be held one hour prior to ceremony in the same location. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, on Route 180, in Otis. Arrangements by Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Homes, Ellsworth.
