In 1956, Eddie married Gilda (Molea) Perritano. They were married 49 years when Gilda passed away on May 23, 2005. Eddie was also predeceased by his parents, his sister, Alice, and son-in-law, Donald Ray. Eddie leaves behind his two stepdaughters: Carol Johnson and her husband Edward Johnson of Brewer, ME; and Camille Ray and partner David McGilvray of Hudson, NH; three granddaughters: Debbie Brothers of Hudson, NH; Donna Heimlich and husband, Todd of Hamilton, MA; and Michelle Cashman and husband, Derek of Brewer, ME; and seven great-grandchildren.

Eddie enjoyed going out to eat; fishing off of Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyard with his wife and faithful dog, Blinky; gardening; woodworking; painting; and was featured on the local news for taking up knitting at Winterberry Heights.
