Edmund's Story

BELFAST - Edmund Linwood Marshall, 66, devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away Monday September 28, 2015 following a lengthy battle with kidney failure. He was born November 7, 1948 in Belfast the son of Freeman and Beulah (Whitney) Marshall. A graduate of Belfast Area High School in 1968, he joined the National Guard and served as an SP5 demolition expert for nine years.

In 1976, Edmund married Leanne E. Bagley of Searsport, his wife of 39 years, and continued to work in the Belfast area. He was employed at Mathews Brothers, Journal Press, Robbins Brothers and Downeast Auto Body. He later owned and operated his own auto body shop for 35 years. Edmund was a member of the Equity Grange, where he served as Steward.

Edmund was predeceased by his parents, and two brothers; Freeman and Kenneth. He is survived by his wife Leanne of Belfast, his daughter Megan and husband Nick Hills of Swanville, his beloved grandson Dutch Marshall Hills, his sister Rosalie and her husband Fred Floyd of Bangor, as well as many Nieces and Nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm Sunday October 4, 2015 at Searsport United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers donations many be made in his memory to Dialysis Clinic, Inc. 125 Northport Ave., suite 101 Belfast, Maine 04915. Edmund would like to thank all the staff and friends that he knew at the clinic for their never ending care and support during the many years he was served there as a patient.
