- Douglas A. Goodine, 91, passed peacefully on February 15, 2017, surrounded by his loving family.
Doug was born September 22, 1925, in Bangor, the son of Andrew and Geneva (Philbrook) Goodine. He was one of 10 children and married Doris Stewart also from Bangor in 1945. They had 6 children together.
Doug was a WWII veteran and also served in Vietnam. He worked at Lane Construction for 17 years and H.E. Sargents for 25 years. He was a Mason and belonged to the lodge in Carmel. Doug loved to go on "honks" with various members of his family and enjoyed riding his 4 wheeler on his land. Doug will be greatly missed by his family and special friend Bentley. The family would like to give a special thank you to caregiver Cheryl Brown.
Doug is survived by his wife Doris, Doug Goodine and Kelly Taylor, Lorraine and Bill Berry, Tommy and Joyce Goodine, Tanya Groh and Dick Jackson, Priscilla and Ray Scott, Gidget and Dan Ross, 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.
A family graveside interment will be in the spring.
