- Donna Elaine Hatch, 69, passed away peacefully on Dec. 4, 2016, at her daughter Julie's home, surrounded by her two daughters, Teresa and Julie. She was born in Hartland, Feb. 17, 1947, the daughter of Gilbert F. and Vivian (Greene) Dyer.
Donna very much enjoyed farming, sewing, gardening, writing poems, and taking very good care of the many clients she had while working almost 20 years for Home Care of Maine. Donna was very dedicated and loving to her family, friends and her clients.
Donna was predeceased by her parents; and a nephew, Benjamin A. Gagne. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Harry E. Hatch of Corinna; two daughters, Teresa Henderson and her husband, Clifton, of Corinna and Julie Hatch and her partner, Kevin Clukey, of Sangerville; three grandchildren, Mark Henderson of Corinna, Faith Henderson and her fiance, Zachary Bemis, of Corinna and Devin M. Clukey of Sangerville; one great-granddaughter, Mariah A. Bemis of Corinna; her sister, Mary Gagne and partner, Randy Madore, of Palmyra; four brothers, including her twin, Donn E. Dyer of Hartland, Alan Dyer and his wife ,Donna of Palmyra, Frank Dyer and his wife, Linda of Corinna and Lynne Dyer and his wife, Lula, of Corinna; and three sisters-in-law, Ruth Bowman of Corinna, Delva and her husband, James Fraser, of Palmyra and Katherine and her husband, David Williams, of Garand.
Funeral services will be held 1p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2016, at the Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Service Center, 34 High St., Newport, with the Rev. Ronald Stevens officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from noon until service time at 1 p.m. Burial will be in the Palmyra Village Cemetery. A reception and time of fellowship will be held following the service at the Barrows Skidgel American Legion Hall, North Street, Newport.
