Donald (Josh)'s Story
Port Orange, FL
- Donald (Josh) Joslyn passed away December 14th 2017 in the loving arms of his wife Carol Joslyn at their residence at Port Orange Florida.
Josh started his career at the various shoe companies in the Bangor area and retired as the Technical Director at Nike Co.
Josh will be remembered for his love of Red Sox, a game of horseshoes, camping and fishing at Crooked River. Josh was a talented artist who liked to draw and paint much to the delight of his family. His paintings were of abstract surrealism and will be treasured by those who loved him.
Surviving are his loving wife Carol Joslyn of 34 years, his sister Elaine Goss and husband Don of Orpington, his children, mother-in-law, Beverly St. Louis, Kelly McClure and her husband J.J. of Florida. Donald Joslyn and his wife Debbie of Bangor, Maine, Shane Joslyn and his wife Lisa of Dover Foxcroft, Danny Joslyn and his fiancée Sandy of Argyle, Shannon Simpson and husband David of Hampden. Special "bonus son" David Miles of North Carolina.
Grandchildren: Christopher, Michael, Carissa, Mathew, Kimberly, Brooke, Melissa, Alex, Makayla, Madison, Jayda, Everleigh, Kyleigh and many great-grandkids.
The family would like to thank the whole team at Vitas Health Care along with Dr. Asihene who provided compassion and comfort during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that you make a donation to a local non kill shelter of your choosing. Josh loved his animals and the family take comfort that his two dogs laid with him until the very end.
Per his request no funeral will take place. His ashes will be spread Summer of 2018 at Crooked River.
