GLENBURN - Dennis M. Tewhey, 62, passed away unexpectedly May 6, 2016. Dennis will be greatly missed by his wife of 31 years Patti (Parady) Tewhey; his two beautiful daughters, Jill Trudel and Megan Tewhey and Fiancé Nathan Pete; grandchildren, Peyton Trudel, Kayleigh Trudel, and Jaden Pete; siblings James Tewhey and wife Mary, Ronald Tewhey and wife Tammy, Everett Tewhey, Denise Foltz and husband Doug; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents George and Irene Tewhey.

One of his earlier accomplishments was starting his own business as owner/operator of Pine Tree Optical in Old Town. He would always say "this is an old art that machines have replaced." He loved talking with his customers and the people who would stop by to say hi.

Dennis and his family were part of the UMaine Witter Farm co-op. The students and many special friends helped teach Dennis and his family about animals; eventually leading Dennis' family establishing Rockin Horse Farm. The farm meant much to him becoming his full time job and dream come true. He loved all aspects caring for the animals and his family of friends at the farm. He also made many friends throughout the farming community through shows, and other events. These activities were very important to both Dennis and his family.

Over the years Dennis never really wanted to leave the farm. He said it held all he wanted for his life - his forever dream did come true with his family and friends. He loved to have lots of activity going on. He would be very happy to have people who knew him and his family to enjoy the place he loved so much.

We are honoring Dennis with a celebration of his life here at Rockin Horse Farm and our home 1pm Saturday, May 14, 2016, at Rockin Horse Farm 2800 Ohio St. Glenburn, ME. Everyone is welcome.
