Brewer - David F. Worcester, 79, husband of Elizabeth "Betty" Worcester, died Feb. 6, 2017 at his home in Brewer. He was born in 1937 in Cherryfield, the son of Alvin B. Worcester, Sr. and Hilda (Tracy) Worcester.
David served with the US Army from 1963 to 1968 and worked for Maine Central Railroad for 30 years. He loved to hunt and fish with his greatest passion being Atlantic salmon fishing on the Penobscot River.
In addition to his wife of Brewer, David is survived by two children, David N. Worcester and his fiancée, Lisa McGlothlin and her two boys, Duncan and Blake of Lamoine and Lisa M. Dutton and her husband, Alan and two grandchildren, Zoey and Ella Dutton all of Rock Hill, SC; many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Donald and Alvin Worcester, Jr. and by a sister, Faye Ward.
A graveside service and committal with military honors will be held 10 AM Friday, April 28, 2017 at the Jonathan Eddy Cemetery, Route 178, Eddington.
