OLD TOWN - David Robert Eaton Jr. 38, born November 11, 1975, son of David R. Eaton Sr. and Pamela (Hildreth) Lahey passed away unexpectedly May 8, 2014.

Graduate of Old Town High School, and proud Brother of the US Marines, (2nd MAR DLV 3/6 Lina Co. 1st Platoon) David would light up any room he walked into with a contagious laugh and he had a way of putting a smile on anyone's face. Dave, being a piercing and tattoo enthusiast, looked like a "tough guy" but had a heart of gold and was known as a big teddy bear. There is nothing in the world Dave loved more than his daughter Sydney Marie. Dave had a strong compassion for pitbull advocacy and aspired to one day own a rescue for the breed; he especially loved his boy Blazer. Dave loved hockey and heavy metal music. He particularly enjoyed being lead singer of various heavy metal bands through the years.

In addition to his parents, Dave is loved and survived by his daughter Sydney, his sister Michelle and her husband Troy Nadeau, special niece/ "little sister" Ashley and her husband Ajay Cookson, their daughter Audrey, brothers Kenny "Monkey" Sylvestri, Michael Hildreth, Stephen Hilldreth, and sister Dee Dee Whittemore and their families; maternal grandmother Virginia Tracy and her husband Sylvanus, paternal grandmother Frances Wilcox, many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends, especially Brittney Vinson and Heidi LeClair; as well as his girlfriend, Kaitlin Bird. Dave is predeceased by his sister Dawn Marie Eaton, and close friend Jack Melanson.

A memorial service for Dave will be held Tuesday May 13th, 2014 at 1:00pm at Brookings-Smith 133 Center Street Bangor with the Rev. Garnett Chute, pastor of the Hermon Baptist Church officiating. Those who wish to remember Dave in a special way can send donations for a fund for Sydney to Camden National Bank 330 Main Street Old Town Maine, 04468 FBO Sydney Marie Eaton.
