Dave, If ever there is an emergency & I am forced to drive a standard, I may just be able to get somewhere, thanks to your patience as you tried your best to teach me how to shift & accelerate without stalling out. If anyone could have done it, it would have been you, but I still can't walk & chew gum at the same time either, LOL!

Anyone who knew David Dow definitely has a story to tell. For me it was his constant patience and resilience in the face of such adversity. I'm at David through our gym family and I worked the front desk very early opening the gym a couple of mornings a week. Often he and Melissa would come in together to get their workout in before the day got ahead of them. When David received his diagnosis he didn't let that stop him. I will always remember the fighting him even up to 10 days before he passed every single day the David Dao could be in that gym doing some sort of a workout and moving he was there. Two weeks after his brain surgery he was there doing what he could do. He was the perfect exa...mple of why those of us who are well should not wallow in excuses as to why we can't do something to keep ourselves moving and more physically fit. I have shared the story of David's resilience and his positive attitude was so many people and the thing that resounds with me and keeps me going when I battle with myself about why I should or shouldn't go to the gym is David's example. When I tell people about David at the end of the story I say "be a DAVID" or "DD". He could have given up his exercise routine at the gym at any point and quite honestly there were some days when he was in there and I watched in amazement as I couldn't believe that he even could put one foot in front of the other never mind with the dumbbell or sit on a bike for a cycling class but he did it I will miss him I will miss his positive attitude but every time I struggle with my own internal excuses I'm going to pull it up by the bootstraps and I'm going to be a David because I have no excuses.Read more

I want to express my condolences to your family and friends over the loss of your love one. In times like this a comforting word is welcomed. May you receive strength and comfort from the God who promise to “swallow up death forever” and give us a hope of a “resurrection”. - Isaiah 25:8; Acts 24:15. JW.org

Your sence of humor and sharp wit were as valued as your ability to put wet stuff on the red stuff. I will always be thankful for the generous magnanimous person you are...Safe travels brother.

I had the privilege of knowing Dave for about 10 years. He always had a smile on his face and always took time to catch up. One thing he always talked about was his children and how proud he was of all of them. I always admired him for his love and support he gave to them and his wife Melissa. Such a beautiful soul taken too soon. May he Rest In Peace.
