Detroit - Danielle L. Shaw, 32, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2017, in Augusta.
Danielle was born on July 12, 1984, in Waterville, Maine. She attended the local schools and graduated from Maine Central Institute. She had a beautiful smile and was fun to be around. She had a heart for animals and would gladly rescue any of them, especially cats and dogs. She enjoyed taking the kids to the playground and swimming in Mem's pool. She was an avid movie buff and liked watching all genres. She was a loving mother and daughter and was happy to be surrounded by her family. She will be missed more than words can say.
She is survived by her daughter, Destiny Shaw of Detroit; her life partner, Shane Ricker and his children, Jaiden and Riley; her parents, Lillian and Steve Philbrick of Detroit; grandmothers, Dorothy Gower and husband, Alan of Dexter and Rae Philbrick of Florida; Scott Braley who was like a surrogate dad to Danielle and his daughter, Taryn Braley Murray, who Danielle considered a sister; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and her father, Scott Sinclair of Pittsfield and his children, Ali Sinclair and Matthew Sinclair.
She was predeceased by her grandfathers, Charles (Spike) Shaw Jr. and Charlie Philbrick.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m., with a Time of Remembrance at 4 p.m., Saturday, March 18, 2017, at the Shorey-Nichols Funeral Home, 191 Hartland Avenue, Pittsfield. A graveside committal will take place at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 3, 2017, at the Village Cemetery, Peltoma Avenue, Pittsfield.
Should friends desire, memorial donations may be given to Danielle's daughter, Destiny Shaw, c/o Lillian Philbrick, 109 North Road, Detroit, Maine, 04929, in her memory.
