- Dana C. Ivers, 68, of Trenton and Brewer, died Dec. 26, 2017, at his home in Trenton, with his loving wife of 25 years, Sue, at his side, after a rare disorder calciplylaxis, caused by dialysis. He was born on Aug. 17, 1949, to Stanley and Barbara Ivers. Dana graduated from Brewer High School where he excelled in gymnastics, helping to coach his senior year and was admired by many for his ability to walk on his hands everywhere. He worked as a truck driver for Heffenreffer Beverage, Maine Distributors, Superior Paper, and finally retiring from the Maine DOT. He was an avid sportman, enjoying hunting and fishing with family and friends. Dana was also an excellent artist and won many blue ribbons for his drawing as a child. Dana is survived by his wife, Sue, two daughters from a previous marriage, Dawn Marie Godin and her husband, Jason, of Brewer, Julie Ivers of Mt.Vernon; two granddaughters, Sophie Godin and Sydney Ivers; his brother, Thomas Ivers, sisters, Judith Tait, Carrie Verrow, and Sally Ivers; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to express the sincere thanks to Dr. Beth Lieberman for the special care and attention she gave Dana and Sue. The family will be having a celebration of his life at the home of his daughter Dawn at 374 North Main St., Brewer, ME, on Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. and invite family and friends to come and share their memories.
