- Cloe Laura Peterson passed peacefully on Feb. 18, 2018. She was born in Camden-Rockport on April 18, 1992. Cloe was always social. She loved playing wheelchair whiffle-ball with cousins or running through the sprinkler under the arms of a loved one to feel the spray of cool water on her face on a hot summer day. Cloe loved lobster stew, the sweet taste of pumpkin pie, scary movies, concerts and the tender kiss of a retriever crawling gently up onto her lap. Cloe's motorized wheelchair offered her the exuberant independence of speeding around the sidewalks of her home until her "license to drive" was no longer an option. Dancing and flirting with boys at school or the EMTs that often escorted her to and from the hospital was always an expectation.
She was Daddy's little girl and had such a special bond with her brother. Her smile could light up the room and no one could make her smile brighter than her Mom.
Cloe will be missed greatly by her parents Diane Carey Peterson of Rockland, Steven Peterson of Lincolnville and his friend Naomi Cohen of Hope, brother Riley Peterson and fiancé Jessica Card, both of Camden, nieces McKayla and Abigail, maternal grandmother Connie Carey of Milo, many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends who loved her dearly and her extended family at Treats Falls, especially Jackie and Stacy. Cloe was predeceased by maternal grandfather Galen Carey and paternal grandparents Raymond and Jean Peterson.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to Treats Falls House 2 Hillside Rd. Orono, Me. 04473. A spring memorial will be held at the Children's Chapel in Rockport.
