PATTEN - Clinton W. Porter, 95, flew to heaven in his airplane on July 20, 2015, in Patten. He was born January 9, 1920, in Mount Chase, the son of Wesley and Eva (Giles) Porter.

Clinton was a veteran of the U.S. Marines serving in the South Pacific during WWII. He enjoyed flying, hunting, fishing and trapping.

He is survived by his children, Richard Porter, Reggie and his wife, Sharon Porter, and Sandra Dunn, all of Patten; grandchildren, Clint Dunn of Oakfield, Michelle Russell and Reggie (Tig) Porter, all of Patten, and Jennifer Benn of Bridgewater; great-grandchildren, Gunner, Gavin and Madison Russell, Bradley and Bryce Bailey, Gage, Bailey and Trynt Porter, all of Patten; Gwen Parsons and Teagan & Taryn Tozier of Bridgewater as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Clinton was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Ardean; and his daughter, Noralene.

Friends may call 9-10 a.m. Saturday, July 25, 2015, at the Patten Pentecostal Church. Funeral service will follow at 10 a.m. with the Reverend Frank Randall officiating and interment at Patten Cemetery.
