OLD TOWN - Charlotte A. Stone, wife of the late William Stone, passed away December 18, 2015 with family by her side. Born in Old Town, Maine a daughter of Wilfred and Isabelle (Dempsey) O'Keefe, she recently celebrated her 99th birthday with friends and family in October.

Born in 1916, she was a child of the depression and worked at the family business during WWII while her husband served during the war. She was involved in numerous civic and community organizations during her lifetime. Her greatest love and accomplishment was her family: being a wife, a mom, a grandmother, and a great grandmother.

She is survived by her son Bill and his wife Cathy, her daughter Peggy and husband Chris; her grandchildren Derek, Scott, Alison, and Joseph; great grandchildren William, Christopher, Rodney, James, and Violet and sister-in-law Catherine Meehan; very special nieces and nephews who made each visit so loving with their smiles, laughter, and warm hugs. She was predeceased by her husband in 1998.

The family wishes to thank Hospice of St. Joseph especially Lynn, Marilyn, Kevin, Ranae for the compassionate care and support. In lieu of memorial donations, she has asked that everyone buy themselves a beautiful houseplant, place it in a sunny window and watch it grow.

Private burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Old Town.
