WALTHAM, MASS. - Mrs. Carolyn M. (Foley) Keilty died on Wednesday, January 20, 2016, in Lowell, MA. Mrs. Keilty was born in Bangor, Maine on June 3, 1920, a daughter of the late Frank and Frances (Nolan) Foley.
Carolyn was a graduate of John Bapst High School in Bangor, Maine. She moved to Roxbury after her marriage to Thomas P. Keilty. In 1952, she and Tom moved to Waltham where they raised their three sons. Carolyn worked on airplanes during World War II. In later years, she was a home health aide.
Carolyn is survived by her children, Thomas P. Keilty, Jr. and his wife, Nancy, of Natick, Francis E. Keilty and his wife, Patricia, of Lowell, her eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren and two sisters, Ellen "Tina " Campbell of Brewer, ME and Dorothy Burkett of Omaha, NB. Also many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas P. Keilty, Sr. and her son, John P. Keilty. She was a sister to the late Roselle Foley, Isabelle Case, William Foley, George Foley, Ruth Delaney and Frank Foley; sister-in-law to the late Rt. Rev. Msgr. John Keilty, Frank Keilty, Mary Daley, and James Keilty.
Family and friends remembered Carolyn's life with a gathering on January 25, 2016 at the Joyce Funeral Home in Waltham before the Funeral Mass at Saint Mary's Church. The burial followed at Calvary Cemetery in Waltham.
