Candace 'Candy' Lou Withee

December 24, 2018

Stetson Candace "Candy" Lou Withee, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on December 24, 2018 at her home in Stetson, after a long and courageous battle with fallopian tube cancer. She was born on July 20, 1952 in Dexter, the daughter of the late George A. and Thomasina A. (Gilbert) Blanchard Sr.
Candy grew- up in Dexter with her parents and three siblings and graduated from Dexter High School in 1970. She married her husband of 42 years in 1976 and together they raised four children in Stetson.
Candy was a hard worker and held many different types of jobs throughout her life, retiring from Snowman Printing in Hermon.
There were many things Candy enjoyed doing in her free time, nightly four wheeler rides with her husband and the dogs to view all the wildlife around her home and visits with family and neighbors along the way. She also enjoyed going out to eat, her flower gardens, shopping, crocheting, dancing, spending time with her grandchildren and her beloved pets.
Candy is survived by her husband Danny; children Teresa Barriault and husband William of Stetson, Michael Withee and his wife Jenn, Joshua Withee and his wife Kristie of Stetson, Jason Withee and his wife Krystel of Hermon; mother Thomasina Blanchard of Stetson; sisters Judy Perigo and her husband Steve of Dexter, Sandy Withee and her husband Albert of Stetson; brother George Blanchard Jr. of Stetson. She was a proud grandmother and leaves behind her five grandchildren Danielle Barriault, William Barriault II, Sophia Dunn, Michael Dunn, Adrain Withee and Stephanie Sacobie; her best friend Pat Woodard and her husband Dennis of Corinna; her beloved pets, two dogs Bou and Luke, cat Daisy and bird Spike.
A celebration of her life will be held 3 pm. Sunday December 30, 2018 at the Cornerstone Baptist Church, 1195 Stetson Road, Exeter, with Pastor Stan Griffin, officiating. There will be a potluck reception immediately after the service for anyone wishing to stay and visit.
