C. Luella's Story
Pelham, NH, and Bradford
- C. Luella 'Lue' Snow, 92, went peacefully to be with her Lord and savior on January 31, 2018, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on December 30, 1925, in Bradford, ME, the daughter of Fred and Edna (Smith) Speed.
She attended Bradford schools and then married her late husband, Charles Snow in 1944. She left Bradford and resided in Massachusetts where she worked at The Fernald School in Waltham, MA. Upon her retirement from The Fernald, she moved to Pelham, NH, where she resided for twenty-five years. She loved working outdoors in her garden and with her flowers and watching her birds. She was an avid member of the Pelham Senior Citizen Center for many years.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Snow) Trahan and her husband, Joseph Trahan Jr., of Pelham, NH; two granddaughters, Krystina (Trahan) Perez and her husband, Edwin Perez Jr., of Merrimack, NH; Megan Trahan and her boyfriend, Adam Dufresne, of Pelham, NH; one great-granddaughter, Samantha Perez of Merrimack, NH; one sister, Shirley (Speed) Harris and her husband, Richard Harris of Charleston, ME; as well as many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her three brothers, James and his wife, Gladys; Daniel and his wife, Francis; and Lawrence Speed. Her seven sisters; three babies, Leona, Ruth, and Rebecca; Vernesiah (Speed) and her husband, Romeo Freeman, Annie Speed, Genieve (Speed) and her husband, Ralph Cookson, and Patricia (Speed) Michalski. Lue was a very loving, caring and strong independent woman. A loving mother, grandmother, and aunt.
Services will be held at The Bradford Baptist Church in Bradford, ME, on Monday, February 5, 2018, at 11 a.m. A private burial will be held in the spring. Arrangements are in care of Thompson Funeral Home, 17 Hudson Road, Corinth, Maine.
