Betty Jones Henderson

February 11, 1931 - December 04, 2018

Caribou Betty Jones Henderson passed away peacefully on December 4, 2018, at Rising Hill residential care facility in Limestone. Betty was born February 11, 1931, in St. Francis, the daughter of George and Emma (McPherson) Jones.
She was happily married for 57 years to the late Robert "Murray" Henderson. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Beth Henderson of Caribou, and a daughter and grandson, Jane Mastin and Christopher Mastin, of TX. She was predeceased by six sisters, Ethelyn, Viola, Greta, Georgia, Lola, and Laura, and one brother, Delbert. Her one surviving sister, Letha Hanlin, resides in Maryland. Though Betty had many friends, two were very special, Gloria Sutherland and Delores Richards. The three women were "besties" and got together frequently in better days to go out for breakfast or lunch or to go shopping. Delores remained a constant companion and close friend to Betty after Gloria's passing. Other special friends dear to her heart include Leigh and Hylyn Mills and Norma Ouellette with whom she loved to gather with at her home or theirs. Betty also enjoyed visits with her many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was a kind and gentle soul who touched the hearts of all the people she met. Betty will be sadly missed by those who loved her so very much. Graveside services will be held for family and friends in the spring, at St. Paul's Cemetery in St. Francis, where Betty will be laid to rest beside her loving husband, Murray. Arrangements are by Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou. www.mocklerfuneralhome.com.

Merry was my first full time boss at CCC in Presque isle. Betty was as much a part of of our life back then as he was. Great memories of all the great times and stories of that family atmosphere she helped create. RIP Betty.

Another big loss of one of The County’s Finest. Betty was another step-in mother for me. Heartfelt thoughts to Dale and Jane and their families as I learn of the news from away. RIP Betty as the laughter, infectious smile and great kindness, will always be treasured.

Aunt Betty will be truly missed. Mom and her talked almost daily. I'm glad Mom and I made it up to see her twice in the last couple of years. She and Mom spent hours talking those two weeks. Love you Aunt Betty!
