Betty Louise was my cousin in all but name (her mother Ruth being stepsister to my mother Alice) and always a close presence, no matter what different places we lived. Her goodness and graciousness never changed except to grow. She and Bob were a fine duo. Her death is a loss to our family and many others on Campobello and away.

To the Gardner family, I was saddened to get the news of your mothers passing. I met her through a friend of hers Kathy Copp. When Kathy passed I continued to keep in touch with Betty. I enjoyed her conversations over the phone telling me about all her flower plantings and her card games. I'll miss her very much. May Kathy and Betty meet up again and have a card game or go to the plays together. God Bless them both.

Mrs Gardner was very special to me. She was my teacher in 5th Grade when I was very sick and could not go to school. We had an intercom to the school set up. She would always come to my house after school to collect homework, give tests and help me. Loved her. God be with her and her family.
