Old Town - Bernice M. St. Louis, 86, passed away Jan. 6, 2018, at a Bangor health care facility. She was born October 25, 1931, in Old Town, the youngest of 9 children of Charles Sr. and Rose (LaBelle) St. Louis.
Bernice was educated in Old Town Schools, and worked in area mills and factories. She was a faithful communicant and member of Parish of the Resurrection, Holy Family Church, Old Town. Bernice always lived with her sister, Odella St. Louis, until her death in 2005. They enjoyed going to the Coach House on Fridays.
She is survived by nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Walter, Francis and Charles "Charlie" St. Louis; and five sisters, Madeline Carney, Katherine "Kay" Campbell, Ella Heath, Odella St. Louis and Antoinette Dempsey.
The family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude to The Meadows, Ross Manor, and Community Health and Counseling (New Hope Hospice), for the wonderful care and compassion shown to Bernice.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday January 16, 2018, at Parish of the Resurrection, Holy Family Church, Old Town, with the Rev. Bill Labbe, celebrant. A light luncheon will be served in the Parish Hall immediately following the service. Spring burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Old Town.
