- Barbara Springer Darling, 69, wife of the late Bruce Darling, went home to be with the Lord on November 26, 2017, at her home. She was born on July 22, 1948, in Passadumkeag, the daughter of Wesley L. and Ruth (White) Springer.
She worked at the shoe shop in Old Town for many years and at the Passadumkeag store for many years after. She also worked for a dear friend Kathy Johnston at her ceramic shop.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Bruce, sister, Deanna, brothers, Derwin and Maurice. She is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Tammy Ouellet and Dan of Pittsfield and Rhonda Smart and Craig of Greenbush, one sister, Winona Lord of Enfield and two brothers, Wesley Springer and his wife, Sally, of Delaware, and Thaxter Springer and his wife, Alice, of Passadumkeag, sisters-in-law, Marie Springer of Edinburg and Mary Ann Doiron of Old Town and Annemarie Darling of Old Town; five grandchildren, Adam and wife, Kristy, Cody and fiancé, Katie, Christopher and wife, Jaclyn, Dillon and wife, Renee, Courtney and her significant other, Tyler, and their families, six great-grandchildren, Lionel, Maddie, Lincoln, Hayden, Remington and Emma. Also many special friends.
Friends may call on Wednesday, November 29, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 2, 2017, at Gould's Ridge Cemetery.
