- On February 4, 2018, Annemarie Davis, age 70, went home to be with her heavenly father after a brief battle with cancer, with her loving family by her side.
Annemarie was born on October 17th, 1947 in Amesbury, MA, the daughter of Joseph and Rose Belanger.
Annemarie had a heart the size of the world and would do anything for anybody, always putting everyone before herself. She had a tremendous love for her church family at the Larrabee Baptist Church. She loved quilting, especially making making quilts for her family. She loved kayaking, volunteering at East Point in Machias, but most of all loved spending time with her family.
Annemarie worked a few different jobs but her latest was the town clerk for the Town of Machiasport. She worked there for eight years, retiring two years ago to spend more time with her family. During her retirement she began subbing at Elm Street School and had such a love for the children.
Annemarie is survived by her husband and best friend of 16 years, Jeffrey Davis of Machiasport, daughter Tammy Wood and husband Gary of Machiasport, daughter Michelle Michaud and husband Adam of Swanville, step-son Brian Davis and wife Erica of East Machias. She is also survived by her complete pride and joys, her grandchildren, Nicholas Wood and wife Laureta of Machiasport, Kayla Burke and husband Nathaniel of Machiasport, Kasey McLeod of Swanville, Emily Michaud and Olivia Michaud of Skowhegan, Tyler Davis and girlfriend Sage Neptune, Brielle Davis, and Seth Davis all of East Machias; her great-grandchildren (also known as her babies) Aubrey, Brantley and Reagan Wood, Grayson Burke and Caleb Neptune. She is also survived by her brother, Richard Belanger of Amesbury, MA, Joe Belanger of Florida and many nieces and nephews.
Annemarie was predeceased by her first husband, Dennis Farris, parents, Joseph and Rose Belanger, sister Rita Thibault, very special aunt and uncle, Henry and Marie Couture and step-son Seth Davis.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Larrabee Baptist Church on Saturday, February 10th, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. A reception for family and friends will follow.
