PRESQUE ISLE AND MILLINOCKET - Annabelle "Nan" (Allen) McGlauflin died peacefully at TAMC in Presque Isle on May 6, 2016, surrounded by her family. She was born on August 6, 1933, the daughter of Rellon and Sadie (Coty) Allen of Presque Isle.

After graduating from Presque Isle High School in 1952, Nan began her career in banking at Northern National Bank in Presque Isle. In 1972, she married Philip M. McGlauflin of Presque Isle, and the couple moved to Millinocket. Nan worked as a loan officer at Katahdin Federal Credit Union until her retirement in 1993, when she and Phil returned to Presque Isle to their camp on Echo Lake, which Phil remodeled into a beautiful home for them.

During her retirement years, she loved having the opportunity to focus on her homemaking, having time to spend with family and friends, and the frequent camping trips she took with Phil. Nan was a devoted wife and daughter, beloved sister and aunt, and dear friend of Ray and Cristi Quirion and their children. She was fortunate to have the friendship and care of the residents and staff of Aroostook Health Center in Mars Hill.

She is survived by her husband; sister, Dorothy Allen; two brothers and their wives: Rellon Jr. ("Sonny") and Jackie Allen, and Kenneth and Carol Allen, all of Presque Isle; two sisters-in-law: Joyce Allen of Presque Isle and Charlotte Allen of Easton; a special brother, John Powers of Presque Isle: special grandchildren, Callie and Chase Quirion; step-daughter, Gayle (Beckwith) Stinson and her husband Edgar, and their daughters, Elizabeth Stinson & Stacee Hirshhorn; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; first husband, Byron Beckwith; and their infant son; sister, Cookie; and three brothers: George, Robert, and Larry.

Friends may call from 5-7 PM Tuesday, May 10th at Duncan Graves Funeral Home in Presque Isle. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the Parish of the Precious Blood, Presque Isle at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, May 11th.
