- Anita L. Gaff, 77, died Wednesday April 12, 2017, at a Bangor hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born in Boston on February 29, 1940, the daughter of Albert and Ethel (Stevenson) Penque. She was raised and attended school in Medford, MA, graduating from Medford High School in 1958.
In her career she manufactured fine jewelry and was a dedicated homemaker. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years Robert C. Gaff of Bucksport, one son Robert Gaff and his companion Eve of Lynn, MA, two sisters Arlean Falciane and husband John of Medford, MA, and Joyce Fent of Salina, KA, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Anita was predeceased by one son, Scott Gaff.
Family and friends will gather for visitation from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, April 17, 2017, at Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, Franklin St., Bucksport. Anita's remains will be transported to Chelsea, MA, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 20, 2017, at 10 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 600 Broadway, Chelsea, MA. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett, MA. Arrangements in MA will be handled by Carafa Funeral Home, Chelsea, MA. (mitchelltweedie-young.com)
