Text size

It is with profound sadness the children of Amy Wilcox Kelley Dennison share the news of her passing while in the loving home of her daughter Terry and in the presence of her family on July 6th, 2016. Amy was born in Lubec, Maine on September 22, 1929 the daughter of the late Leslie and Annie (Tinker) Wilcox.

Amy spent her life in Lubec as a wonderful loving wife, mother and friend to many. In 1946 Amy married Vincent Kelley Sr. and had five children, four sons Vincent (Donna) Kelley Jr., Leroy (Bessie) Kelley, Alan (Brenda) Kelley, Wayne (Maureen) Kelley and one daughter Diane (William) Rier. On December 22, 1964 Amy would lose her first husband to lung cancer after 18 years of marriage. Later Amy married her second husband Arthur (Junior) Dennison Jr. and gave birth to a set of twin daughters Terry (Ray) Pike and Tammy McLaughlin. Junior predeceased Amy in 1986. Amy is survived by all of her children, many grandchildren, many great grandchildren and many friends. Amy has one remaining brother Leslie (Jane) Wilcox as she was predeceased by four brothers Clarence, Carlton, Lewis, Richard and three sisters Mable, Mary and Helen.

Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Saturday July 9th at 11am as she will be laid to rest beside her husband Vincent in the Upper North Lubec Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family has set up an account at Bar Harbor Banking and Trust to help with funeral expenses.

The family is forever grateful to her daughter Terry, her husband and family as they opened their home and hearts to keep Amy in Lubec where her wishes were honored during the last few days of her life.
