Albert's Story

Text size

Madawaska - Albert J. Clavette, 84, died peacefully Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at a Caribou Health Care Facility. He was born August 20, 1932, in Frenchville, a son of the late Vital and Emma (Rossignol) Clavette, and raised in Sinclair.
Albert enlisted with the US Army, serving overseas during the Korean War. He worked as a welder in CT areas constructing commercial buildings and bridges before his retirement. Though Albert was a quiet and private man, he was always quick to offer a pleasant smile or a sympathetic ear. He enjoyed his visits to the local American Legion and he loved fishing, hunting, or just enjoying the local wildlife.
Funeral services will be announced in the Spring by Lajoie Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 114-10th Ave., Madawaska. In lieu of flowers, donations in Albert's name may be made to: Maine Veterans Home-Caribou, 163 Van Buren Rd., #2, Caribou, ME 04732.
