FORT KENT - Alberie Pelletier, 90, died peacefully November 7, 2014 at a Fort Kent Health Care Facility. He was born March 18, 1924, in Frenchville, the son of David and Amedie (Saucier) Pelletier.
Alberie was a member of the Catholic Order Of Foresters Court No. 230 and the Maine Potato Growers Association. He a school bus driver for SAD #27 for 30 years, and during that time farmed potatoes until the age of 80. He truly enjoyed playing the violin at weddings and family gatherings. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years. Laura (Michaud) Pelletier of Fort Kent. Two sons; Carroll and Ann Pelletier of Frenchville, David and Beverly Pelletier of Fort Kent. Three sisters; Martha Pelletier of Conn., Laurine Morin of Lewiston, and Anita Ouellette of Stockholm. Five grandchildren; Jeff, Michael, Steve, Jason, and Stacy. eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by two sisters; Rella Pelletier and Elsie Pierce.
Friends may call 8 a.m. Monday Nov. 10 until time of service at the Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at the St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Committal services will follow in the parish cemetery. Those who wish in Alberie's memory may donate to the Edgar J. Paradis Cancer Fund, 194 East Main St., Fort Kent. or Mass cards to St. John Vianney Parish.
