Al Chaloux, 94, began his journey in joining the love of his life on July 21, 2016, surrounded by his loving family.
He married Myrtle Pomeroy on October 13th, 1942 and shared 66 years of wonderful marriage. Al began working for Old Town Canoe, along with his father, and continued his career working as a union carpenter. He also built all of his family homes throughout the years. Al enjoyed everything about working with wood. His passion was spending time with his family, whether it was camping, sitting by the campfire, or playing a game of 13 or pitch. In Al's later years he moved to Marsh Island apartments in Old Town, where he made some very special friends. He so enjoyed playing daily games of Aggravation as well as the monthly "Night on the Town" with the Orono/Veazie Seniors!
