BANGOR - Dana Noel Mulldune Jr. died Aug. 1, 2012, with his beloved fiancee, Connie Blanchard, by his side, at the veterans hospital in Manchester, N.H., after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born Oct. 28, 1948, in Bangor, to Dana N. Mulldune Sr. and Ann A. (Brooks) Mulldune.
Dana attended Bangor schools. He was an Army veteran and served in the Vietnam War. Dana worked in many shoe factories in Bangor. He moved to Manchester, N.H., later in years and worked in various companies throughout the years. He loved to fish, hunt and of course cook. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend to anyone who knew him. He had such a great sense of humor. He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
Dana is survived by one daughter, Mellissa Nicholes and husband, Bill, and his grandson, Landon, of Madison; one sister, Mary Fisher and husband, Blaine, of Bangor; and two brothers, Al and wife, Debbie, and Charles and wife, Mary. Dana will be sadly missed by one special nephew, Mike Doughty and his son, Marcus; along with other nieces and nephews. Dana also raised twin boys, Keven and Keith Lafont, from a previous companion of 23 years, before she died. They were very special to him. He will be sadly missed by his special friends, David Leen of Bangor, Keven and Dawn Herd, Juan Arce, and Eric and Lynsey Kate, all of Manchester, N.H.
At his request, there will be no funeral services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 718 Smyth Road, Manchester, N.H. 03104.
