MILLINOCKET - Joan Brown, 65, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at a Bangor hospital with her children by her side. She was born Nov. 22, 1946, in Malden, Mass., daughter of Marguerite McClure and Harold Randall, and Joan was the adopted daughter of John and Ethel (White) Collier. Joan graduated from Lynn English High School, Lynn, Mass., in 1965. In 1967, she married Frank Sacco, with whom she had a daughter, Michelle. In 1974, Joan married James "Jim" Brown, with whom she had two children: daughter, Tracy; and son, Brian. After marrying Jim, Joan moved to Millinocket, where she lived until her death. Joan worked various jobs throughout the years, but was happiest as a stay-at-home housewife and mother. She enjoyed travelling, working around the house and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren whom she adored. Joan was predeceased by her parents; and husband of 29 years, Jim, in 2003. She is survived by her three children, Michelle Cook and husband, Dennis, of Millinocket, Tracy Bond and husband, Rick, of Weare, N.H., and Brian Brown of Millinocket; grandchildren, Ashley McDonough, Bradley Cook, Connor Bond and Brendan Bond; and great-grandchildren, Justin Rebello Jr. and Jacob Rebello. She is also survived by her brother, Jay Browne and wife, Jill, of Canann; sister, Patricia Anderson of Plymouth, Mass.; sister-in-law, Helen Shoup of Lynn, Mass.; niece, Amy Roy and husband, Jody, of Lynn, Mass.; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Joan will also be missed by her cats, Simba, Patches and Nala; as well as her "Il Divo Buddy," Marilyn. Friends are invited to visit with the family 1:30-3 p.m. Sunday, June 10, at Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket, with funeral services beginning 3 p.m. officiated by Deacon Danny Watson. Interment will be at Millinocket Cemetery. Gifts in Joan's memory may be made to P.E.T.S., a non-profit organization dedicated to the proper treatment of animals and preventing cruelty to them, P.O.
