VAN BUREN - Robertine M. Boucher, 79, died May 11, 2012, at a Van Buren health care facility. She was born June 19, 1932, in Van Buren, the daughter of Alex and Emily (Roy) Lavoie. Robertine was employed as a department store manager for many years, working for W.T. Grant Co., Wilco and then Ames department store. She was a former regent and member of Evangeline Circle, Daughters of Isabella. She was involved with the local Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, and was a Girl Scout leader for many years. She was very involved in her parish as a Eucharistic minister for many years and was active with the Mercy Meal committee. Robertine was a former trustee of A.J. Morneault Memorial Library, Van Buren. She is survived by three daughters, Kathleen Parent and husband, Donald, of Van Buren, Maxine Nelson and husband, Lars, of Islesboro and Diane Boucher of Hartford, Conn.; three sons, Roger Boucher and wife, Judy, of Byron, Michael Boucher and wife, Betty, of Islesboro and James Boucher and companion, Michelle Harmon, of Orrington; two sisters, Jacqueline Castonguay of Van Buren and Esther Chamberlain of New Britain, Conn.; two brothers, Philip Lavoie of Mapleton and James Lavoie of Caribou; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Armand Boucher, in 2004; and by a grandson, Alex Boucher, in 2000. Relatives and friends may call 9-10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church. Committal service and interment will be in the parish cemetery.
