DOVER-FOXCROFT - Carla Lou Pratt, 68, beloved wife of David Pratt, passed away May 9, 2012, at a Bangor hospital after a long illness. She was born July 21, 1943, in Dexter. Raised by her grandmother and uncle, she attended Corinna Union Academy and received her GED at age 43. Carla had worked at Eastland Woolen Mill and other area mills for more than 40 years. Carla was an avid gardener and enjoyed canning and freezing her garden produce. She liked riding horses and loved her pets. She enjoyed taking long rides with her husband and especially beating him at cribbage. Carla had worked hard all her life until she became ill. Family was most important to her and she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She leaves her loving, caring husband of 40 years, David of Dover-Foxcroft; and children, Russell Tracy and his wife, Julie, of Sangerville, Joseph and special friend, Ronald Orlando, of East Boston, Mass., Jon Tracy and special friend, Rachel Normandin, of Dover-Foxcroft, William Tracy of Windham, Kenneth Pratt of Palmyra, David Pratt Jr. and wife, Frankie Holt, of Bath, Timothy Pratt and his wife, Amy, of Lewiston, James Pratt of Oklahoma, John Pratt, Angela Pratt, Matthew Pratt and his wife, RaeAnne, of Oakland and Michael Pratt of Augusta. She is also survived by a brother, Ray Pipes of Dexter; a sister, Eunice Watson of Harmony; 13 grandchildren, with two more on the way; and two great-grandchildren, with another on the way. Friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Monday, May 14, at Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft, where funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, with Pastor Stephen Dean officiating. Burial will be in the family lot at Knowlton Mills Cemetery, Sangerville. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Bangor Humane Society, 693B Mount Hope Ave., Bangor, ME 04401.
