CARMEL and MILLINOCKET - Richard E. Thibodeau Jr., 56, died unexpectedly May 7, 2013, while working in Orono. He was born April 15, 1957, in Millinocket, son of Richard E. Thibodeau Sr. and Shirley A. (O'Brikis) Thibodeau Lemieux.

Richard worked in the woods trade for several years before working for Harvey Paving & Sealcoating as the foreman for more than 25 years. He also loved to snowmobile and drag race cars.

Surviving is his soulmate, Brenda Nelson of Millinocket; two children, Richard E. Thibodeau III of Millinocket, and George Nelson and wife, Jaime, of Carmel; two grandchildren, Lucy and Garrett Nelson; one sister, Carol Harvey and husband, Blaine, of Hermon; two brothers, Stephen Thibodeau of Hermon and Clifford O'Brikis of California; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may visit 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor, where a service honoring Richard's life will be held 1 p.m. as the visitation concludes.
