BANGOR - Wyatt J. N. Bastarache, 8, passed with the sun shining on him, squinting before the Lord, June 12, 2012, with his mom by his side at a Bangor hospital. He was born March 30, 2004, in Bangor, son of Brian Bastarache and Eryn Savard. He loved his family, pet cats, many family friends, and his dedicated nurses. Wyatt's beautiful eyes, with their long lashes, reflected all the joy and love he received on earth. His sweet expression reflected the Lords face, which always shone upon him. Wyatt is survived by his parents; stepfather, Mark Savard of Bangor; siblings, Noah Bastarache of Massachusetts, Isaac and Andrea Savard, both of Mechanic Falls, Orianna Green of Bangor, and Abigail Savard of Bangor; and grandparents, Grampa and Nana Green, and Memeé Bastarache. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Pepeé Bastarache. The family thanks the staff at Eastern Maine Medical Center PICU for all the love and care they showed Wyatt and his family through his many illnesses and final days. They are especially grateful to Dr. Movius for the tireless support and compassion. Wyatt lived his life completely reliant on other people, yet despite his disabilities, he was a joy and blessing to all. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, June 22, at Calvary Chapel, 154 River Road, Orrington. Those who wish to remember Wyatt in a special way may make gifts to his family for help with medical expenses, Mark and Eyrn Savard, care of Calvary Chapel, 154 River Road, Orrington, ME 04474. "This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby." - John 11:4.
