CARIBOU AND WASHBURN - Wayne Alan Carter 36, died unexpectedly Aug. 13, 2012 at Caribou as the result of an automobile accident. He was born Nov. 16, 1975, in Caribou, son of Alan and E. Anne (Corey) Carter.

Wayne was a 1994 graduate of Washburn District High School as well as Northern Maine Community College. He was employed as the station manager for Daigle Oil in Caribou where he was employed for more than 20 years.

Surviving, in addition to his parents of Washburn, are son, Marcus Carter of Caribou; his sister and brother-in-law, Angela and Scott Dow of Caribou; a niece, Hannah Dow; and a nephew, Mitchell Dow; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Wayne was predeceased by his grandparents, Ray and Glennis Carter and Danny and Katherine Corey.

Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Friday at Riverside Extension Cemetery, Washburn, with the Rev. Bruce Blakney officiating. After the service all are invited to a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at Washburn Pentecostal Church. www.mocklerfuneralhome.com
