FRENCHVILLE - Theodore P. Zambos, 70, died unexpectedly Feb. 21, 2013, at his residence. He was born July 18, 1942, in Chicago, son of Theodore and Marie (Zver) Zambos.

He was a wonderful husband, son, brother, father and grandfather. He proudly served his country and retired after 21 years in the U.S. Air Force, where he earned several commendations including a Bronze Meritorious Service Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, Combat Readiness Medal and Vietnam Service Medal. He later retired from General Dynamics after an additional 25 years of government related employment. He loved his home and enjoyed cutting his grass and plowing snow with his John Deere tractors. He enjoyed quiet time with his Bible and church fellowship; he loved his two dogs, Terri and Bonnie; and enjoyed using his computer expertise to help others. Most important to him was his family who he loved dearly and spent a lifetime providing for.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Patricia; brother, Lee Daly of Las Vegas; daughter, Dawn of Las Cruces, N.M.; son, Kenneth and daughter-in-law, Denise, of Tucson, Ariz.; grandchildren, Corey, Michelle, Ashley and Katie; great-granddaughter, Nicole; along with numerous nieces and nephews. This is a profound loss and he will be greatly missed.

Friends and relatives may attend the funeral service 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25, at Madawaska Gospel Church with Pastor Doug Brown. Interment at St. David Cemetery. Funeral arrangements by Michaud Funeral Home.
