EDDINGTON - Thelma L. Frye, 88, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013, at her residence. She was born March 18, 1925, in Bradley, daughter of Harold and Ada (Jordan) Spruce.

Thelma was a past member of Bradley Baptist Church and most recently a member of Clifton Baptist Church. She used her gift in music by singing in the choir at both churches. She loved watching the Boston sports teams on the television, especially the Red Sox versus the Yankees.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Carl and Warren Spruce. Thelma leaves behind her loving husband of nearly 67 years, Carroll G. Frye of Eddington; two sons, Curtis Frye and wife, Karen, of Holden, and Daryl Frye and wife, Connie, of Eddington; four grandchildren, Brett and Justin Frye, John Bellen, and B.J. Frye; three great-grandchildren, Zackary Bellen, Mackenzie Bellen and Mariah Frye; and several nephews. Thelma's family extends a special thank you to Hospice of Eastern Maine for all of their care and compassion.

A celebration of Thelma's life will be held privately at a later date. Arrangements by Memorial Alternatives, 205 Center St., Bangor.
