VEAZIE - Sylvia Carolyn Brown, 84, was led by the hand to her home by our precious Lord, July 31, 2012, after a long illness. She was born May 26, 1928, in Bangor, daughter of James M. and Sylvia P.(Crosby)Gamble.
Carolyn was a Husson College graduate and was office manager of H & R Block, Bangor, for 27 years. She was also a member of Veazie Congregational Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Susan Adams and husband, Harold, of Levant, Sharon Brown of Veazie, Sheila Batchelder and husband, Bryan, of Levant; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; sister, Francina Thurlow; brother, Eugene Gamble; and granddaughter, Callie Brown.
Family and friends may visit 1:30-3:00 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5, at Veazie Congregational Church, 1404 State St., Veazie, where a service honoring her life will be held 3 p.m. as the visitation concludes. Pastor David W. Fox will preside. Burial will be afterward at Fairview Cemetery, Veazie.
