BANGOR - Sharon Edith (Averill) Archer, 65, passed away Feb. 9, 2013, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Dec. 1, 1947, in Bangor, the daughter of Roger and Irene Lillith (Sproul) Averill.

Sharon was a graduate of John Bapst High School and attended San Jose College in California.

Sharon is survived by two brothers, Kenneth Averill of Orono and Terrance Averill of Oregon; sister, Lucille "Cindy" DeBeck of Newburgh; a special niece, Jennifer Kenney Murphy; several other nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Edward; two brothers, Lawrence and Roland Averill; and a sister, Irene Kenney.

A celebration of her life will be held this summer at a time and date to be announced. Gifts in her memory may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children-Boston, care of Anah Shrine, P.O.
