KNOX - Rita N. Alley, 75, passed away May 10, 2012, in Brewer. She was born March 16, 1937, in Belfast, to Philip and Eunice (Brock) Corey. She was a homemaker who enjoyed knitting, crocheting and cooking. She also enjoyed watching soap operas. Rita loved getting on her computer and researching details of her life and her family. She will be remembered for her generous, caring and thoughtful nature. She was predeceased by her parents; sons, Gary and Craig; and sister, Eleanor. Rita is survived by her husband of 60 years, Lewis Alley of Knox; children, Robin and Bill Johnson of Missouri and Brent Alley of Knox; brothers, Stillman Corey, Leonard Corey, Dennis Corey, Walter Corey, Wendell Corey, Steven Corey and Jerry Corey; grandchildren, Lacey Lawson and Ashley Johnson; two great-grandsons, Caelen and Adyn Lawson; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast, where funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, May 31, with the Rev. Matt Shaw officiating. Burial will be at East Knox Cemetery.
