APPLETON AND PORT RICHEY, FL - Richard A. Tesseo, 73, of Port Richey, FL and Appleton, ME, and formerly of Bangor, passed away Dec. 5, 2013 in Hudson, Fla., following a period of declining health.
Born May 12, 1940 in Bangor, to Louis and Mary Elizabeth Tesseo, Richard was the tenth of twelve children and a 1958 graduate of John Bapst High School
After serving in the US Army and living for a period in California with family, he returned to Bangor. There he dedicated 35 years working as a telephone employee for New England Telephone, AT&T, later retiring from Lucent.
Richard was highly respected for his knowledge in telephone and computer technology. After Richard and his wife Nancy retired, they enjoyed many cross country road trips visiting family out west. Each winter they traveling to FL where they resided. Each spring they returned to ME where they spent the summer with family and friends at Sennebec Lake Campground in Appleton.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, sisters and brothers. He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Carlsen Tesseo; his two sons, Martin Tesseo of Bangor, and Todd Tesseo and his wife, Christine and their two children, Quinn and Kiley of Bellingham, MA; Nancy's children, Jay Carlsen and his wife, Angie and daughter, Kylie and son, Adam, all of Rockport, Richard Carlsen and his son, Shane of Vinalhaven, and daughter, Laurie and her husband, John and children of Edmonds, WA, and a large extended family.
A celebration of life will be held at Sennebec Lake Campground in Appleton on July 12, 2014 at 1 p.m. Please join us to share food, beverages, and memories.
